Bird Watching and Photographic Workshops and tours.
Specialist in the UK including Norfolk and Suffolk
During the winter months the hours will be betwen 9am and 4pm, summer between 9am and 6pm
If your preference is a photography trip, you will need to bring your own camera, but Robert is happy to give advice on equipment and will have Canon lenses available on the day. We are currently being sponsored by Canon to do reviews on their equipment so we can answer any questions you have on their equipment but can also help with other makes.
Tours are available for individuals at £140 a day per person (2nd and 3rd Person £80) or for groups from £60 a day ( four or more). Summer months will be five pounds extra to cater for the longer hours. We will be using sites around Norwich and the North coast which are well known to Robert, and with a British Bird List of well over 500 species he can also pass on his vast knowledge of identification techniques. This helps greatly when learning habits of birds etc to be in the right place for the perfect photo or viewing. Other wildlife such as butterflies and dragonflies will also be included in the day. Tours can be specifically designed to suit the group attending.
Field craft is very important and this will be discussed during the day as will camera functions such as light and shutter speed.
Our workshops are different. At the end of the day we offer you a unique opportunity to visit our shop in Norwich to print copies of your favourite shots from the day (included in the price). We currently have the best photo lab in the city and we can explain how to get the best prints from your files, including file sizes, colour corrections and cropping. We can also help with the difference between a real photo lab, the new dry labs and di sub printing. If the day does not end in Norwich, don't worry, we will ask you to send in a disc with images from the day on and pop them in the post for you or visit at a time convenient to you.
If you wish to be a bit more adventurous we can also arrange tours to other areas of the country. Robert has extensive knowledge of good wildlife sites after years of rarity chasing. If you have an area in mind or would like Rob to suggest somewhere to go fo a more specific wildlife species please give us a ring. We can happily suggest the right time of year to go as well as setting up a personalised itinary to suit your needs.
We combine wildlife and photography together but Rob is also happy to lead a birdwatching tour without the photography. He has often found rarities in the UK and generally finds around 80 species in a day tour with enough time to discuss plumage differences.
All workshops are suitable for all levels of experience
Booking essential. Full amout to be paid on booking.
Any questions ( I am sure we missed something out) please call on 01603 219119 or Rob's mobile 07738175255
